The Planetary and Global Health Program of the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial is collaborating with the EWUU Alliance based in the Netherlands – composed of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Wageningen University & Research (WUR), Utrecht University (UU) and University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) – in offering an online certificate course for SLMCCM medical students focused on planetary health and climate-resilient health systems. The online course will be delivered from February 28 to April 3, 2023.
Selected SLMCCM students will learn about planetary health, sustainability in healthcare, health systems, climate resilience, health equity and justice, and more, as well as on how to effectively collaborate with an international and interdisciplinary team and how to develop communication materials (ex. infographic) that effectively convey scientific findings to diverse audiences. They will learn through interactive online lectures, self-paced online modules, a group project with students from the Netherlands, and mentoring sessions.
