  1. Introduce the principles of futures thinking and their application in medical education and practice
  2. Examine the importance of integrating interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary perspectives in medical curricula towards creating agents of system change
  3. Showcase concrete, evidence-based and outcome-based innovative strategies for 21st century medical education
  4. Present strategies for engagement towards supporting professional identity formation for faculty and students

“We are thrilled to be selected as the 2022 host of the annual APMC convention, which is one of our network’s most-awaited events,” expressed Dr. Susan Pelea Nagtalon, Dean and Chief Academic Officer of SLMCCM-WHQM. “Even before the pandemic, our school has been preparing for the future, through our various initiatives related to digitalization and the incorporation of planetary and global health into our curriculum. We hope to share our innovations with our colleagues in the Philippine medical education community.”

The convention will showcase plenary sessions, panel discussions, a scientific paper competition, exhibitions, and other activities. There will also be pre-convention workshops on various topics related to medical education.
