| June 22, 2022
A research paper, the output of a group of medical students in their Clinical Research subject (taken in their third year at St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine – WHQM), was chosen to be presented at the International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences 2022 held in Groningen, the Netherlands last June 7-11, 2022.
Their paper was entitled “Saffron Supplementation for Reduced Labor Duration in Term Pregnant Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials”. Three members of the aforementioned group (who are now fourth-year medical students) namely Jasmine S. Interior, Phoebe B. Ipapo, and Joza I. Juan, and their adviser, Dr. Gloriosa C. Galindez, presented said paper under the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Poster Presentation. They were among the 350 presenters from 70 countries, presenting their papers to different medical students and panelists from around the globe! This only shows that the research Lukans make is for the international stage!
Congratulations to the group (see names below) and their adviser, Dr. Gloriosa C. Galindez! Your SLMCCM family is proud of you!
