Foundations of Medicine
Foundations of Medicine is a course that aims to integrate anatomical, biochemical, and physiological concepts through their application in clinical scenarios. The primary method of instruction is small group discussion followed by a plenary session. The faculty consist of those in the first year basic sciences, as well as and clinical sciences faculty who are invited as resource persons for the plenary sessions. Early clinical experiences in the form of hospital tours and patient- centered interviews are also employed as instructional strategies.
